WCO support Cuba on implementation of an advance ruling system and improvement of tariff classification
A WCO Revenue Package national Workshop, funded by CCF China, was held in Havana, Cuba, from 28 May to 1 June 2018. Twenty Customs officials worked intensively during the Workshop, which was facilitated by one expert from the WCO Secretariat and one expert from Spanish Customs.
WCO assists the Americas and Caribbean Region to speed-up the adoption of the WCO Data Model
The WCO organized a Regional Workshop on the WCO Data Model for Americas and Caribbean (AME Region) in Lima, Peru with the financial support from the Customs Administration of Japan. The workshop was attended by 28 participants from Customs Administrations in the Region.

The WCO, responding to a request for capacity building in the area of effective revenue assurance, conducted a Regional Workshop on Post-Clearance Audit (PCA) for the Americas and the Caribbean Region at the Regional Training Center (RTC) Dominican Republic from 23 to 25 May 2018, in cooperation with CAPTAC-DR and the Customs Administration of the Dominican Republic.
Paraguay benefits from WCO People Development Support Programme
A WCO mission was held in Asuncion (Paraguay) from 19th to 23rd March 2018 to deliver a Human Resource (HR) Diagnostic to the National Directorate of Customs (Direccion Nacional de Aduanas, DNA).

The WCO with the support of Brazil Revenue Authority (Secretaria da Receita Federal do Brasil) and Korean Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF/Korea) conducted a Regional Workshop on Digital Customs and E-Commerce for the South America, North America, Central America and the Caribbean Region from 7 to 10 May 2018, in Brasilia, Brazil.

At the invitation of the Comptroller of Customs, Dr. Geannine Moss, WCO Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya visited Nassau, the Bahamas on 22 March 2018 to attend the launch of the WCO Training Programme for the Bahamas Customs and Excise Department.
